Mykonos is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea and belongs to the Cyclades. The capital is the town, located on the west side of the island. The island had a population of 10 134 people in the census of 2011. The island's area is 86 125 sq. Km and has a coastline of 89 km.

Mykonos soil is mostly rocky and hardly smooth. There are only two mountains, both DIKORFO moderate level: the Anomeritis (east) and Vorniotis (north).
It is an island that receives the four winds head on, there are very few trees and little vegetation.
This, combined with rocks, stones, small fields and dry stone walls scattered throughout the interior, giving a perfect place for ascents with 4x4 vehicles.
